MUMBAI: A simple act of liking an Instagram post fueled much speculation for a Bollywood actor since the superstar couple is seemingly going through a rough patch and it was none other than Abhishek Bachchan whose liking one Insta post recently caused a significant stir online. Since he liked a post about divorce, it intensified rumours of speculations of his separation from his actor wife Aishwarya Rai. The post, shared by a journalist, discussed the difficulties of divorce and was liked by Abhishek amid the ongoing rumours. 

The post read, "When love stops being easy," and its caption elaborated, "Divorce is never easy for anyone. Who doesn’t dream of a happily ever after or envision recreating those heartwarming videos of elderly couples holding hands as they cross the street? Yet, sometimes life doesn’t unfold as we hoped. But how do people cope when they separate after decades together, after spending a significant portion of their lives relying on each other for both big and small things?"

It continued, "What drives them to sever ties, and what challenges do they face? This story delves into these questions. Coincidentally, ‘grey divorces’ or ‘silver splitters’—terms for those seeking marital dissolution typically after age 50—are on the rise globally. The reasons, though varied, are not surprising." Abhishek's like on this post sparked further speculation.

However, according to a report in Hindustan Times, a Reddit post clarified that the real reason behind Abhishek's like was not related to his own marital status but because Zirak Marker, a longtime friend of Aishwarya, had contributed to the article referenced in the Instagram post. The article was published in The Indian Express' Eye magazine, with Zirak listed as one of the contributors.

Fans were relieved by this revelation. One user commented on the Reddit post, “So this divorce post, which people took as a confirmation of divorce, is him being a supportive partner and therefore may be a confirmation of not being divorced. Mind blown.” Another wrote, “Abhi-Aish saga is turning into an Abbas-Mustan movie.
