MUMBAI: A Shiv Sena legislator Manisha Kayande, who is also the spokesperson of the ruling Shiv Sena, led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has demanded that the telecast of the Bigg Boss reality show should be stopped, as one of the recent episodes of obscene content. She met Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar to present her demand against the said episode.

According to Kayande's submission, the particular episode aired on July 18 showed one of the contestants Armaan Malik in a seemingly intimate moment with Kritika Malik under the covers in the Bigg Boss bedroom and said that the couple trampled upon all boundaries of human relations and social norms. She also raised concerns over the show's influence on young viewers and said, "Everyone including kids watch the show and it impacts them," 

There are many interpretations of the footage that is being discussed on social media with several viewers claiming that the second part of the viral video clip might be edited content spliced from the international version of the show, Big Brother while others insisted that the footage was an intimate moment between the two contestants of the show. Some news reports have also quoted the 'Bigg Boss OTT 3' makers saying that the clip was in fact a fake viral video and did not pertain to the said episode at all. 

Kayande in her submission has also insisted to the police commissioner that the show should be stopped and urged that a case be filed under cybercrime laws against the producers and the CEO of the broadcasting company. "Bigg Boss is no longer a family show. Armaan Malik and Kritika Malik crossed all the limits," she said.
