Aiming to form a 'Third Force'  Prahar Janshakti chief Bachchu Kadu meets Sharad Pawar

PUNE: Prahar Janshakti Party (PJP) president and MLA Omprakash alias Bacchu Kadu, who is currently an ally of the ruling Mahayuti, met Nationalist Congress Party (SP) chief Sharad Pawar in Pune on Saturday. Kadu who is the legislator from Achalpur constituency in Amravati visited Pawar’s residence in Modibaug in the morning and had a detailed discussion with him after the meeting he told reporters that he would decide on September 1 whether to remain with Mahayuti or quit the alliance.

Notably, Kadu has taken the initiative to form the 'Third Force' in the state and has been meeting leaders of different small parties in the state in that effort he has had a discussion with Raju Shetti of the Swabhimani Paksha who inturn has discussed the possibility of forming the Third Front with AIMIM State chief Imtiaz Jaleel.

Talking to reporters after the meeting with Pawar Kadu said, "The meeting was pre-scheduled and we had planned to discuss issues of farmers, labourers, and persons with disabilities in the meeting. I am not disappointed with anyone, but these are important issues for us and we have given the state government a deadline of September 1 to resolve our demands. After that, I will my future decision. I will decide with whom to go.”

Kadu has been consistently raising the farmer's distress issues and during a rally in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Friday, he warned that political parties would lose more than 10,000 votes in every constituency in the upcoming state assembly elections if the demands of farmers and the poor were not fulfilled.

Kadu who had aligned with the BJP-led Mahayuti after it came to power has been upset as he has not been included in the ministry and despite being in alliance with Mahayuti, the BJP nominated Navneet Rana from Amravati Lok Sabha seat where she was defeated, in response Kadu had also fielded PJP candidate against her.

Reacting to Kadu’s meeting with her father, Baramati MP Supriya Sule said,” There was nothing wrong if like-minded people come together. People know what Mahayuti is all about. No one wants to stay with it.”
