NEW DELHI: Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal launched a strong attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday accusing him of conspiring to tarnish his and his party's reputation by labelling them as corrupt. During his first 'Janta ki Adalat' public meeting at Jantar Mantar following his resignation as Delhi chief minister, Kejriwal emphasized the achievements of his government over the past decade, highlighting initiatives such as providing free electricity and water, offering free medical treatment, and improving education standards.

While lashing out at PM Modi, Kejriwal asked five questions of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, including if the PM would resign as the RSS had set a rule for leaders to retire after the age of 75, a rule which was applied to veterans like LK Advani. Taking a reference to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's recent statement that this rule would not apply to Modi, Kejriwal asked Bhagwat, "Amit Shah is saying that this rule will not apply to Modi ji. What applied to Advani ji, why will it not apply to Modi ji?" 

He also took a dig at the RSS in another question, by asking Bhagwat how he felt when BJP chief JP Nadda said his party did not need the saffron party's ideological mentor under PM Modi. 

Kejriwal also asked the RSS if they agreed with the BJP's politics of using central agencies to break up parties and topple opposition-elected governments, raising questions on the induction of those leaders whom BJP had called 'corrupt' into its fold and forming governments with them. 

The former CM of the capital state also clarified that he had resigned because he was hurt by the corruption allegations against him and added that he had only earned respect, not money, during the past 10 years.  He claimed that Modi believed he could only defeat AAP by attacking their integrity which was the reason for the conspiracy aimed at imprisoning AAP leaders, including himself and Manish Sisodia.
