TV soap actress Divya Bhatnagar dies of COVID-19 complications

Divya Bhatnagar who acted in several popular television soaps including playing the role of a domestic help called Gulabo on popular television soap, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai passed away today due to complications of COVID-19 infection. She was 34 years old.
According to her brother who rushed to Mumbai from Delhi along with their mother, on November 26, Divya was shooting for TV serial Tera Yaar Hoon Main when she took ill and had to be rushed to the hospital by the production team. By then she was already suffering from pneumonia and running a temperature along with blood pressure issues. Two days later she tested positive for COVID-19 and was put on a non-invasive ventilation to support breathing.
In the following days as the pneumonia worsened, her condition deteriorated and she was put on ventilator support and eventually had to be shifted to Seven Hill hospital where she passed away early morning on Monday.
Divya who began her acting career in 2006 with serial Chaand Ke Paar Chalo, over the years acted in several TV shows like Udann, Jeet Gayi Toh Piyaa Morre, Vish, Sawaare Sabke Sapne, Shreeman Shrimati Phir Se, and Tera Yaar Hoon Main. She also acted in several commercials.
Several of her industry colleagues including actress Shilpa Shirodkar express deep shock over Divya's death an took to twitter to express their grief and condolences.
