MUMBAI: Vaccination drive for children aged 15-18 picked in schools across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and children have been volunteering in large numbers across many schools and colleges to receive their first dose.
Maharashtra state education minister Prof. Varsha Eknath Gaikwad has said that schools in the state are all geared up to bolster the free vaccination drive for the 15-18 age group from Today. She said that her department has reviewed the preparedness of the vaccination drive across districts in the presence of districts collectors, commissioners, local education and public health staff.

According to Dr Heena Samani, principal of Tilak College the children and their parents were well counselled for vaccinations by the teachers and staff for receiving the vaccines and they have shown very positive responses and have come in large numbers to receive their first dose.

Some of the students said that they were eager to receive their first dose of the vaccines since they had been apprehensive about the ill effects of the infection and with the vaccinations they would now feel reassured to attend their classes in the physical mode.
