Anju from India weds her Pakistani FB friend, converts & becomes Fatima

MUMBAI: After the relentless media coverage on Pakistani citizen Seema Haider and her four children coming to India for love and marrying her Indian boyfriend Sachin Meena a Hindu guy she met while playing PUBG, now an Indian woman Anju, who legally travelled to a remote village in Pakistan's tribal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province's Upper Dir district, has got married to Nasrullah of Deer Bala.

Professionally made videos released by Anju and Nasrullah in which they are seen enjoying their post-marital life have been doing the rounds on social media and television in both countries and more videos appeared on Twitter that the couple were being showered with gifts and cash by many people. Pak Star Group of Companies Mohsin Khan Abbasi gifted Anju with 10 Marla housing land and a cheque of PKR 50,000 who said the gifts were to make Anju, now Fatima, feel home in Pakistan.

A video of Mohsin Khan Abbasi interacting with Anju and Nasrullah and then giving a statement on the gifts is going viral, courtesy of Pakistan-based journalists in which he says we are immensely happy and this gift is just a small attempt to appreciate her.

Anju who is a 34-year-old Christian by religion, married and the mother of two children was born in Kailor village in Uttar Pradesh and lived in Bhiwadi, Alwar district of Rajasthan has now got converted to Islam and took a new Islamic name, Fatima. She and Nasrullah first connected as friends on Facebook back in 2019 and they claim that they have been in love since then.

Her husband had earlier said that Anju who was a data entry operator had told him that she was going to Jaipur for tourism and assured him that she will return in a few days. He said she had made a passport since she wanted to explore chances in other countries for work and before he came to know that she went to Pakistan and married there, he had appealed to all not to make it a Hindu-Muslim love story like that of Seema Haider and Meena.

Till then he was not aware that Nasrullah a Pakistani man had sponsored her visa and facilitated her travel to that country and claimed that he got a WhatsApp voice call from Anju who said that she was in Lahore, Pakistan, for touring the region and she will return within two to three days. However now that she is legally married to a Pakistani national, it is anybody's guess if she would now return to India.
