HDFC Bank launches Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card with Diners Club

MUMBAI: HDFC Bank has joined hands with Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International’s award-winning travel program, to launch the co-branded Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank Credit Card which is India’s first co-branded hotel credit card.  The credit card will run on Diners Club, part of the Discover Global Network and aims to be one of the most rewarding travel cards in India.

The Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank credit card leverages the strengths of the two leading brands, offering an array of travel benefits, including a complimentary Silver Elite Status with Marriott Bonvoy, that comes with benefits such as priority late checkout, exclusive member rates and Bonvoy bonus points.

HDFC Banks, Parag Rao who is the country head – of payment business, consumer finance, technology and digital banking, said that the collaboration with Marriott reflects the bank's commitment to providing innovative financial solutions that cater to the evolving needs of our customers.

Ranju Alex, area vice-president, South Asia of Marriott International said that the Marriott Bonvoy co-branded credit card in India was launched following successful launches in Japan and South Korea.

According to Chris Winter, vice president of Diners Club International, cardholders who favour travel rewards cards will also value access to travel benefits and privileges that Diners Club offers in the market and globally. 

The Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank credit cardholders can earn Bonvoy points that can be redeemed at participating hotels across the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio for free nights and upgrades and will also have the convenience of transferring points to nearly 40 airlines across the globe.

Among the key benefits of the credit card include one free night award worth up to 15,000 points stay at a Marriott Bonvoy hotel, the complimentary status of Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite and 10 Elite night credits upon successful sign-up and 12 complimentary air port lounge access within and outside India.
