Sonakshi Sinha-Zaheer Iqbal to have an intimate wedding on June 23

MUMBAI: Actor Sonakshi Sinha and her long-time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal have confirmed their wedding date and their unique wedding invite is also out on social media.

The actors, who have been dating for years, will marry soon in Mumbai and their invite which is designed like a magazine cover that gets unlocked by scanning a QR code, following which a voice message from Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal gets played. The invite says, "We're making it official (finally)! The rumours were true."

The invite has Sonakshi and Zaheer' audio message as Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's Afreen Afreen played in the background and the invite also reveals details about the venue, time, and dress code.

Along with the card, the couple's audio message says, "To all our hip, tech-savvy and jasoos (spy) friends and family, who managed to land on this page, Hi... Over the last seven years that we have been together, all the love, joy, laughter, and many adventures have led us to this very moment. The moment when we go from being each other's rumoured girlfriend and boyfriend to being each other's definite and official husband and wife. Finally! This celebration would not be complete without you. So, drop whatever you are doing on June 23, and come party with us. See you there,"

Some news media are saying that the couple will have a registered marriage on June 23, followed by a wedding party at a hotel in Mumbai, without much of an elaborate wedding as is often seen in the case of Bollywood stars' marriage functions and restricted to very few friends and members of the family. 

There are also news whethere Sonakshi Sinha's family including her father and actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, mother and brothers may not be very happy about the occasion and there are specuation if any of them will be attending. Shatrughan Sinha is quoted in some news reports he doesn’t have any idea about the wedding. 

While talking to the Zoom channel, Shatrughan Sinha said, "I am in Delhi right now. After the election results, I flew down here. I haven’t spoken to anyone about my daughter’s plans. So your question is, is she getting married? The answer is that she hasn’t told me anything about it."
