US administers over 143 million COVID-19 vaccines: US CDC

NEW YORK: According to the figures released by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of vaccinations for COVID-19, the United States has administered 143,462,691 doses of Covid-19 vaccines as of Sunday morning and distributed 180,646,465 doses.
CDC said that the tally was for Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson's vaccines as of 6 a.m. ET (1000 GMT) on Sunday.
According to CDC 93,631,163 people had received at least one dose representing 28.2% of the total population of the country while 51,593,564 people representing 15.5% of the total population of the United States were fully vaccinated as of Sunday.
A total of 7,715,923 vaccine doses have been administered in long-term care facilities, out of which 4,826,539 received the number of people with at least one dose in long-term care facilities while the number of people fully vaccinated in long-term care facilities stood at 2,833,012 according to CDC.
