Television actor Sidharth Shukla dies of a heart attack at 40

MUMBAI: Popular television actor and winner of the reality show Bigg Boss 13 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 Sidharth Shukla today reportedly died of a massive heart attack today morning. He was a fitness enthusiast and was just 40 years old and is survived by his mother and two sisters.

Shukla was taken to the civic-run Cooper Hospital at around 11 am and according to the hospital officials, he was already dead when he bought in. The exact reason for his death will be determined after the post mortem, which is expected to be completed today before handing his body for the last rites. 

Shukla's sudden death has shocked the film and television industry and several of his colleagues took to social media to mourn his death. Among the first few to have tweeted were actors Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Rajkumar Rao.

"Really sad to know about the passing away of #SiddharthShukla. I didn’t know him personally but it’s heartbreaking to know of such a talented life gone so soon. Om Shanti" wrote Akshay Kumar.

"Gone too soon Siddharth.. u shall be missed. Condolences to the family .. RIP," tweeted Salman Khan, while Varun Dhawan wrote, "Rip brother u are loved by so many and u touched so many with ur kind heart and beautiful personality. Today heaven has gained a star and we have lost one. My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones."

Rajkummar Rao tweeted, "This is so unfair. Gone too soon Sidharth. Rest in peace brother. You will be in our hearts forever. My deepest condolences to his family, friends & fans."
