NEW DELHI: As a part of his three-day visit to the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with industry leaders to discuss the potential and opportunities India has to offer to the world. 

Notable attendees who participated in the roundtable comprised several prominent figures from leading companies including, Chairman President and CEO of Adobe Shantanu Narayen, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, IBM COE Arvind Krishna, Lisa Su CEO of AMD, and Jensen Huang of NVIDIA and among others.

In the roundtable PM Modi emphasized India’s growth prospects and discussed initiatives to foster bilateral collaborations across various sectors. He also highlighted India’s strides in technology and innovation, expressing optimism about the future of India’s tech landscape.

The meeting, organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering, took place at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel during the second leg of PM Modi’s three-day US visit.

Earlier in the day, Modi also addressed the Indian diaspora at the Nassau Veterans Coliseum on Long Island, New York, further strengthening ties with the Indian community abroad.

The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, stated that during a meeting with American CEOs, Prime Minister Modi highlighted India’s growth potential. "PM @narendramodi engaged with top tech leaders and CEOs from the U.S. at a roundtable hosted by the MIT School of Engineering in New York today," Jaiswal shared on X.

In a separate meeting, PM Modi met with Krishna Singh, founder and CEO of Holtec International. According to a social media post by the Ministry of External Affairs, the two discussed Holtec’s plans to expand manufacturing in India and explored opportunities for collaboration in the civil nuclear energy sector.

"Advancing green initiatives! PM @narendramodi met Dr. Krishna Singh of Holtec International today in New York. They discussed Holtec's expansion plans in India and potential cooperation in civil nuclear energy," the post said.

On Saturday (local time), PM Modi also attended the Quad Leaders’ Summit in Delaware, along with U.S. President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
